What color should I paint my Victorian house? I have a house of brick Victorian farmhouse. I can not decide on the colors because of the brick. Its a typical red brick. It is an addition on the house is wood siding and I painted sage green. I have a dark green and the coordination of a deep red paint coordinates, but I'm afraid to look like red and green Christmas? The windows and doors are white and will remain white. I do not know what combinations of colors to use on widows and gingerbread along the roof. The gingerbread porch and will stay white. Suggestions?
play with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to help you imagine how the colors will look together. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, in my humble opinion. I like how their color palette is set, I like that you can search by color family and color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating plans color. You can literally spend hours:

I think "hot cocoa" (# 6047) might be a good choice.
You can take a photo of your house and transfer it to the makeover gallery on this site:

You can get ideas for colors and $ 5 they'll photoshop them onto your room so you can get an idea of what it will look like.
Most all stores paint colors that are already paired together in a book style brochure and for certain styles of homes, property and the Victorian era, for example. Ask if you can not find them. If you have other green and red not green and Santa Claus Red, you'll be good, there are many other greens and reds, which are very popular and attractive.
