Can you name twelve icons of the 1960s? ? Ok, I'm not cheating Google search, but it has not been put in place many Britons. If it is ok well known American, but if they are British children in my class are more likely to have heard of them. Thank you

The Beatles are heard everywhere: pocket transistor radios, eight-track players in cars, and portable turntables. Everyone can sing with a radio to the exciting quality stereo FM broadcasts. Although Elvis is working hard to maintain, the music changed for good. The brightest stars are linked to the British invasion and Motown and the San Francisco sound.
I'm not 12, but:
Peter Sellers

Kinks
Thunderbirds
I'll keep thinking, maybe add more later.
