How to make a tooth fairy pillow Rustic This is a very cute, even a rustic cot, and also the additional excitement of producing a reward for a baby tooth!
You can do all these fabrics of cotton, but my favorite was to use well worn denim.
You will need 2 pieces denim x 7 inches square. I make a cardboard template for this, as I like to do a lot of these pillows, and cut into squares to advance. You will also need the little inside pocket of a pair of jeans. They are usually found in pockets, or you can simply use a small back pocket of a pair of jeans child.
Sew the pocket on the front and the center of a piece of denim, then sew the two pieces of denim with the right side shows (cons to back) with a seam 1 / 2 inch outside. Leave enough space for the stuffing, but do not do that right away.
Clip outer seams tiny strips about 1 / 4 "apart, being careful not to cut the seam stitching, then wash your little pillow and put it in the dryer, which triggers your fraying seams cut, this which gives the rustic yet soft pillow.
Stuff the pillows extra soft polyester fiber fill and then sew the seam closed. You now have a denim pillow tooth fairy. You put the tooth in the pocket on the front and keep the pillow on the bed and the tooth fairy replaces the tooth with a special treasure for your child to discover the next morning.
These pillows too cute for the bed, and can be made from vintage fabrics, but I feel better with their marginal edges frayed.
