It is best to consider this type of brush you will use before you begin your next home painting project. There are important things to consider when purchasing your brush. As the owner of a painting business for 26 years, I consider that the 8 following when choosing brushes. As owner, you should do the same thing.

1. Do you consider the brush, pick up and release paint well? How well it holds and releases paint will make a big difference in the time it takes to complete your house painting project.

2. How long does hair last. Nylon is the longest filament port used brushes.

3. How can be the brush end? Tipping affects how spread a brush painting. The tips of hairs varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. Some sandy bristles are not only an abrupt end. Some tips to effectively divide the silk through a method of sanding. It makes a difference in how it holds paint and uniformity of the paint brush spread paint.

4. You should consider the flexibility of the brush. A good brush with Flex distributing paint more evenly. The brush also retain its shape better and give you better control while painting.

7. You should consider this type of paint you'll use the brush in. Will you paint with oil based or latex? In general, you want to use nylon latex paint and China bristles for oil painting. Although nylon polyester mix brushes on the market that say you can use latex or oil, I think you're better off with China bristles for oil paintings. The solvents to clean oil paint from your brush does not seem to damage the brush bristles China. However, the solvents will affect the quality of nylon bristles over time. Also I found that oil paint brushes cleans silks of China in less time than nylon.

8. Make sure the brush and buy the right size. The bigger the brush will hold more paint it, but there are things to consider here.

a. For large open areas, brush must take and hold a lot of paint. You'll also want to brush spread paint evenly as you spread the paint over a distance. This reduces the dip and spread time which shortens the time it takes to complete your project. For best results, you should consider buying several brushes of different sizes. For siding I recommend a pencil 31 / 2 inches. This seems to be an ideal size for siding. The inch 31 / 2 holds a lot of painting and yet it is not as heavy as the brush of 4 inches.

b. To cut, I recommend a 21 / 2 or 3 inches brush chassis. The rake angle of the brush chassis improves the performance of your painting on a plate. The angle and density of the bristles of a sash brush to paint finishing easier and more efficient. A smaller brush belt is more productive for the finishing work, where precision is needed. The brush knife will cut your work in the base much cleaner, faster and much less headache to most brushes. Do not use a brush frame 21 / 2 inches wide on large open areas where you must use a 31 / 2 or 4-inch brush for series production.
