Modern Interior Designers, Mark Oser
Worldwide Mark Oser, light is an art, and the design element most important in a house. A painter by training, he prefers the white walls of paintings and sculptures by value and dramatic lighting to highlight architectural details of his modern home of 6,000 square feet in Holland.
This is not your typical fare Bucks County, but that is why customers in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, call the Florida Oser, an interior designer for 20 years, now many design / build projects.
His home features clean glass for staircases, stainless steel curved walls, granite floors, and open spaces for paintings that give the impression of being a modern museum or a film smooth. A comfortable, though.
"My main goal was to create a] modern home [but warm at the same time," said Dare, 44. "I softened all hard materials with warm lighting, thick carpet, and touches of warm colors."

Building a house from top to bottom has been a challenge, Dare said: "I was exposed to so much over the past 20 years and has so many resources that I loved to use. How can I reduce what I want? "
First he had to find where to build. He wanted to be in Bucks County, but he does not think a large development would be good for him, his wife Lisa and daughter Halie, now 9. He found a community of 10 homes where the builder would allow him to design and build from within.
Like the rest of us, dare faced this budget terrible word.
"When I thought about all the things I wanted in this house, I thought," I can not afford it. "If there was something I wanted I could not afford it, I tried to do with materials more profitable."
It took a year to dare the design of any home and another year after I moved in May 2001 to design the lower level. He bounced ideas off his wife, who has been involved in projects.
"My most important requirement was that my house feel inviting but warm - a modern design sometimes has a meaning for the cold. Mark mixing modern style with a sense of warmth, "said Lisa Oser, crediting his use of lighting with decisions being.
The basement has taken so long to design? It has a six-seat theater with ticket, a bar, a lounge, a games room, gym and needed home. The rooms have a movie theme, and there's even a life size clay sculpture of an officer in the movie ticket.
The theater has soundproof walls and fabric appliques dramatic, and a movie screen of 125 inches behind the curtains by remote control.
"This is my favorite room," said Mark Oser, because you feel so different here. It takes me. "
"You can do something using this screen: show family photos, play games and watch movies, of course," said Dare, who often hooks his computer and works.
Adds Lisa Dare: "My friends and Halie love this house. It is really set up for entertainment. "
The bar and lounge fun button pop-art-piece puzzle as ottomans and chairs made of fabric that looks like film reels. Dare to paint an "Al Pacino in Scarface movie Wall" on the wall near the pool table.
Upstairs in the main living areas, however, "I wanted to have a gallery of art," said Dare, who combines his work - his views on a Roy Lichtenstein on the wall - with that of other artists.
For the kitchen, he wanted elegant and angular features mixed with the curved design. The floors are granite counters, custom cabinets and white c.
