Help to choose paint colors? I just bought a house and I went color crazy when it came time to paint. Each room has a different color. Now I'm having a hard time choosing a color for the stairway and the hallway that goes well with the existing colors. The kitchen and living room are two shades of blue, then up the staircase is white. As you walk up the stairs you see two rooms left, the hallway and two rooms on the right. The rooms are on the right the master bedroom is a soft pink, tender green and the trim is cream, the office is brown and a dark pink almost burgundy. The rooms left are the cottages which is purple and the guest room that are not yet painted. I feel a little lost by choosing a complementary color for the hallway and the stairs so any help is greatly appreciated.
I think a warm neutral is the way forward, perhaps use wallpaper to add a few print and texture. If you are not papering, try mixing some colors that you have with paintings, sculptures and stencils. You need to remove the colors of the rooms in this space and the space feels more organized. Your eyes should be able to drink in the colors of your not bothered by them. Remember to try to mix the personalities of little rooms. Fun ...
a neutral color like a cream or beige would be
cream.
exsplosion color in your house ..... lol ok so its your room and the stairs and in this region is usually dark if you want a light color for the light reflrct off! im thinking if an eggshell, cream or light yellow .. . but if you have children! lol there is always the risk with light and muddy hands / Colours (actully im also bad) or the other keep the light but not shocking ummm! Good luck!
Wow - you do not like what I say! But here goes. You will probably need to repaint some of your pieces so that there is a common color in the house. This does not mean that the whole house must be blue or brown should be. However, you want at home result from room to room. At present, it seems very unstable - and it'll be even more hectic when you add the color on Next to finish the stairs and hallway. You must rely on accent pieces to add color to your home. Trust me. It's my job. Good luck!
light chocolate color.
