Painting Vinyl Wallpaper

Painting Vinyl WallpaperShould I put the vinyl wallpaper before painting?

My walls are covered with a vinyl covering on the plaster. Am I the first, before I paint or can I paint it? This is not something that I can rob. Thank you!

I think you may be referring to a vinyl coated hardboard. Anyway, if it is indeed not peel and "not really wallpaper," and then you prime it. Use a good oil base primer (some based on water might work, but you must be careful about picking one). Make sure it can be applied to your needs. It will indicate on the label it's uses. Kilzer is a product made specially for your needs ...

If you want the paint to stick you'll have to start.

Ideally its best to strip wallpaper before painting a room, but if you do not want to do that, then I would definitely recommend the initiation of the first enclosure.

I do not care what anyone says about this, but screen must be removed before painting the walls. The paint on the wallpaper will to crack and Peel, maybe not this year, but it will. Wallpaper needs to breathe because of the expansion and contraction. The paint will seal it and let it dry, so it will crack and peel. If you really can not strip you might have to roll over it with 1 / 4 "drywall. Good luck!
