How do I know how big a part of paint to buy, and do you know where I can buy frames at low prices? I recently bought two very impressive and inexpensive paintings in Venice Beach, CA and I try to coach myself. They are both 22 "x28", and I'm not sure what size frames to buy. They are simply painted on heavy paper, thin. Managers must be the exact size or a little bigger? If more, will I also need to purchase a ground / mat for them?
I bought two paintings for $ 25 total and I'm looking for pictures at a reasonable price, but can not find everywhere. The best I've seen is about $ 45 for a frame of 22x28? Do you have any suggestions or online store where I should look? I am located in Southern California.
Thank you very much for your help !!!!!
Take a tape measure to a resale store. Try to find a larger, 2 ft. x 2 1 / 2 feet or more. Turn everything into it and paste your image in the center. Find one with the glass. Walla, it's done.
The size of the image depends on what you are going for. Do you want a border around the painting? Sometimes it helps to paint out. If you are not experienced with frame and a cutting mat you can take it to a framing shop. Sometimes, places like Michaels have seen their sales. You could do yourself, but I recommend getting a mat cutter. The cheapest thing to do would probably get a picture of the size of the painting that does not require custom framing or cutting mat.
