Painting FlamesHow to paint your custom car - Basics

Since I do not remember having an article on how to custom paint your car, I thought I'd just show you the strongest of the basic ideas of self custom paint job on your car, this article we will see the flames paint on your car.

Keep in mind that much of this is just a re-hash of things I told you in my way to the pain of your articles car, with the attitude that you have heard some of the things I you talk about this article, but please do not just blow off, they are all essential to the process of custom painting.

Now we understand that I will cover a lot of things I already mentioned, we will descend to serious matters of the article, here are the things I discussed in past articles, we'll talk about cleaning preparations, masking, and using a tack cloth to get a clean surface for a paint job.

According to the painter working on the car, they can join this process in different ways, here we'll talk about the most common way to paint flames on your hot rod, first I'll talk about cleaning the surface the painting before you start your mask flames.

It's one of those things I know I talked in the past is really the starting point for the painting you'll ever make, assuming that the body work, and priming the car is done, and for this article, we will assume that it is ready to paint.

In ready to paint I mean the car was completely wet sanded with 600 grit wet paper, and you made a satin gloss on throughout the car, the next step is cleaning the preparation for this, we use paint surface preparation cleaning solvent.

What this does is it will remove all resident left wet sanding the car, and it will remove any wax, grease, or body oils that can be done by wet-grinding stage process, once you've done what we can tack cloth car, using a transparent layer garments turn safely.

Now we are ready to get serious, let's talk a bit about what I mean get to work, the first step is to get your flame set of 1 / 8 fine line vinyl tape graphic, you must be 100% sure that you know what you are supposed to look like flames, I can not tell you.

Now that we have that road, you can start drawing the flames on t your car, following the idea that you have in your mind, that throw flames with fine line 1 / 8 tape " Having got out of line for your love to the next stage can begin.

Another one of those things I told you in the past, this step will make or break the results of your custom paint jobs, this step is the masking of the flames, it took you to reverse hide the flames leaving the area you want to show it painted.

Once you've done that, and the flame show, with the rest of the car hidden, you need the flames tack cloth to remove any dirt or other contaminants that may be obtained from them after this is done you're ready to start the painting process, do not rush this process, take your time.

First, we will fix the color of your main flame is usually yellow or orange, followed by all the colors of the flame, I usually use a air brush to do the rest of the colors, thus reducing set up a board of your clear coat to cover.

Noe you'll define your idea for the flames on the car, after completing the work. and is subject to your satisfaction, you can wait about 20 minutes, then uncover the car, make sure windows and chrome and all that you do not want painted is hidden.

After checking the mask to make sure your car is well hidden, you can mix your clear coat, clean the car again with your tack cloth, and your ready to spray the clear coat.
