Painting Exterior Brick

Painting Exterior BrickThe exterior paint - how to make like a pro

The exterior paint is not necessarily a difficult job if you live in a new home. Say, for example, a ranch-style house that has lots of shade trees. And all the windows are new types that do not need glazing.

The coating is made of bricks, so all you have to paint is the trim, doors and windows and maybe the garage door. Well, maybe your house is not one of those jobs sauce (such as a house painter I get my share of these items).

Perhaps a three-story Victorian house with multi-colors and of all the windows are old and need re-glazing. And besides that everything is in the hot blazing sun. This is the other extreme exterior paint.

To that I say you could hire a painting contractor who has a ton of painters in hand. Now, if your home is somewhere between these two extremes, "is how" Gitter done "the best way possible and make it look really good too when you have to paint exterior.

1. When choosing exterior paint colors, use of an external color brochure. These brochures have normal standard colors that will not make your home as a bad LSD trip.

2. Use high-quality, brand paints and primers. No sense doing everything that the professional work and lose your hard work on the painting cheap. Make sure the paint job will last and look its best.

3. And make sure you use paint exterior latex or oil-based solvents not based paint. latex coatings not only breathe they remain flexible and do not spend nearly as much in direct sunlight. Also oil-based, because it can not breathe, cracks and peels from moisture trying to leave the walls.

4. Give your home a wash "on one side at a time". I do a wash using a brush car wash, a bottle of soap and a hose house. I do not wash the hand I'll be painting on the next because when you get to the side of the band of bugs and dirt are back.

5. Painting and trim of your windows first. Next for the siding does, working your way down as you go. To paint the exterior doors and trim that you can do that when you move along.

6. Save the paint using a roller speed as well as a brush on the siding. Just using a brush to paint the paint coating uses a lot faster. I use the Frame ® JUMBO JUMBO ®-and KOTER-KOTER SUPER TWIST? mini roller covers.

The sleeves are very, very durable and make the paint spread fast and far. I just drag the drive for riparian areas that I ride with my brush Wooster angular frame. Sometimes I also use brushes or AllPro brand Purdy. I prefer a two-inch brush with a tip angle.

7. If you have problems, like the old exterior paint, cracked paint to remove oil based, I recommend using a heat gun that is designed to remove paint made of oil. Tools Wagner is a heat gun for that. Just remove what is loose and paint with latex paint fresh outside. You can always go back and burn more oil-based paint unfounded as it begins to crack and peel over the later years. That's about the time for outdoor painting.
