Paint Guard

Posted on April 2, 2010.
Paint GuardHow do I paint my guards to choose?

I want to paint my black pick guard (it is white now) and I just wanted to know what I need to do.

Thank you:]

Im not sure about this, but I can give you my best advice. It is probably covered with a layer of polyurethane, which must be sanded. After that, a primer set and use a plastic spray paint. then layer with a clear finish to the brilliant light.

Alternatively, you can simply use Rustoleum on it the way it is now and use a clear coat on it but I'm not sure how long it will last. If you do not plan to abuse your guitar / bass is the best way.

Good luck!

sandpaper .. spray paint and primer and top coat ..

He sand .. priming .. He sand .. spray the color .. sand .. layer top spray ..

Take your time and let it dry between coats .. If you do you will regret it later .. I know I do ..
