Paint Charts

I'm looking for certain brands of acrylic paint (folkart and Americana) that I can not find in the store and I'm trading for our site. I wonder how accurate color charts are online. Colors appear lighter or darker than the paint today? Thank you.

You would be better served to go to the paint store to check the actual color of acrylic paint you need. Sorry you can not find in stores.

When the colors are posted they are accurate to a certain extent, but there are differences in monitors. You can change the brightness and contrast of your monitor to make it lighter or darker. Are you concerned about the saturation and hue? These should be the same. Colors may appear lighter and brighter because you are looking for a light source (monitor) and not a source of printed paper.

Copy the colors and print on your printer give you the same problem. Printers also varies. If you've noticed, your printer does not work the same color you have on screen most of the time.

If you purchased this acrylic before, there should be a number printed or stamped on the crimped tube. If it was a color you like, refer to this number when you order online. If this is the first time you have ordered, be prepared for surprises. Good luck with your painting project.

It depends on so many factors that would be difficult to give you an answer accurrate. It could be affected by the color profiles on the computer, the brightness and contrast, the monitor type, quality color scanning on the suppliers end ....

You'd better go and watch a real sample.

On your screen, the colors are bright, so they definitely seem to be brighter and lighter and risk. Print color graphics on plain white paper that you can see the colors of natural light, they will be posted after your painting project.
