What can I use paint for painting a mural on the bottom of a pool? I paint a mural on the bottom of a pool and need to buy paint. The painting is to fund the pool is expensive, do come in a variety of colors, and comes mostly in bulk. Is it possible to use an acrylic mural with a kind of sealant on top? Or a clear coat that the evidence is chlorine / water?
I hate Rain On Your Parade here, but I do not think you'll have much success with painting a mural on the bottom of the pool. There are two main reasons that I can think of from the top of my head. Firstly, the paint will not work submerged for long periods of time. Even with a sealer on top, it will eventually de-laminate (Peel) to the bottom, and play with the pool equipment. Secondly, if you could put some kind of pigment in paint quality chart, you can get that to stick to the bottom, but over time the sun and the action of pool chemicals eventually the bleach all the color.
The only thing that will last the test of time on the bottom of the pool are made from ceramic murals.
I'm not C. Mike - We run a mall bathroom and I painted murals on the bottom of our pools. Ideally, using a two part epoxy paint would be great - but expensive, however, for the last two years I just used small sample pots of paint enamel color and sealed with clear gloss Flag
sorry, I'm not a great help!
but what I would do is try that in a small area to see what happends also once you try to put demolition and damage as well!
they dont have a pool clear sealer?
