Model Paint Kits

Posted on February 26, 2010.
Model Paint KitsWhat kind of paint? (Model kits)?

I bought a model kit today and was told it would be a good idea to paint the pieces before putting them together, originally I thought I could paint after I put it together .
Since I have not bought the painting, I wondered whether I should buy the paint shop at special model kit, or can I use any type of regular spray paint or something. (I'm sure I have a little paint I could use in my basement somewhere)

I also agree with the technique of making a lot of paint before assembly.

I would be very careful using any spray-painting ordinary "as it could have solvents that can damage the surface of your model! Make sure it is safe on plastic (polystyrene).

Model paints are easy to find in any hobby shop (or online) ... And they will be safe for your model. I use most types of paints and Testors Floquil Master, Tamiya, and other brands ...
