Model Paint Brushes

Model Paint BrushesWhat do I need brushes for miniature painting?

I am new to the table, hobby war games. This will be my first time to take a brush and paint my models. I intend to visit a store where I can buy my tools for this hobby in the future. Your answers here will be added to my shopping list. I'm really new to this I have no idea what the names of the brushes and what kind / type of hair brush is best for miniature painting. Your answers are appreciated. Thank you.

Browse the forums and thumbnails you will find many discussions on this subject, my personal recommendation would be W & N series 7, but you must learn to look after them properly because they are expensive and easily spoiled by improper handling or improper storage.

Whatever you buy the brush, natural hair sand is always the best.

Assuming you are using paints and brushes citadel you want a standard brush, brush in detail, and a dry brush. If you paint 40K vehicles, you also want a tankbrush. A tile from a hardware store (eg Home Depot) is a good choice for a range of mixing paints on you. A six-inch tile is about 50 cents.

Once you learn, you want to go in an art store for additional brushes. There are a few cheap brushes for special effects: liners for writing and flat brushes for camouflage.

Go to Hobby Lobby or Michael's store. You will not disappointed. The first carry a lot of good things for fans. Hopefully this will help.
