Temp. painting engine for heat Shields, the intake manifold and valve cover? What type of paint is best for areas with a high temperature of an engine? I made my entrance air blue with spray paint DupliColor 500 degree and it worked great, but I want something with a greater resistance to heat for areas that get my motor is the warmest. They graduated in 1200 spray paint and noticed, but I was wondering what else is there.
I never had any luck w / parts store at high temperature paint still looks bad after a while the engine is running.
Been using "Ionoclad" covering 4 years in my restaurant business the first job I did with her 4 years ago still looks new. Highly recommended its carquest available and I think too PANA.
try rustoleum
THT brand for very high temperatures is great. I recommend it over the painting's 1200 degree DupliColor
I saw the line of DupliColor Spraypaint specifically labeled aerosol engine. Me and my brother used an orange on a Chevrolet 455 youth and is held in place very good. You might also consider powder coating, in some cases.
