Glass Painting Tips

Hey, so I have a glass painting kit, it is not very advanced, with 4 color and black and it came with a selection of butterfly stencils. I have already done some, but I put the paint too thick and the black silhouette is not very good.

Are there any tips you have that I could follow? As I would really put the photos ended up on my window, but I will at least look half decent them!

What you could try would be to put some paper around the edge of the template, then if the paint is going on too thick, then the paint should go on the paper, and you can delete it, and not have everything on your stencil.
