Black paint flat for Scion tC? I have a Scion tC 08 and I was trying to get a flat black paint job. Well, I know it can get quite expensive in some areas of automotive paint. I heard MAACO can do it fairly cheap, but for how long? I'm not looking for any fancy paint work, in fact just the bare minimum that could be done. Thank you
The son of a moron my friend did something similar to what I think * you ask, but it went super cheap (and probably got a top down) by simply using a can of spray.
Frankly, matte black looks more like a layer of primer coating.
In all seriousness, have you heard that he simply does MAACO cheaply, or if you have actually called / went to a store MAACO and obtained an estimate? If you have an estimate as detailed as possible (including recording the non-painting, cleaning, etc.), then this estimate and go to some paint stores, automotive, ask to see either pictures or real cars, they painted, and malke decision then.
Just because something is cheap does not mean that the end result would be a good thing.
