Famous Oil Paintings

I have seen his work before. I do not think it is very recent - probably within the last hundred years. It will look like oil paintings of cakes / pastries, sometimes they are in a window of a bakery. I saw his paintings in art books and on the cover of the cards in the borders, if it is a bit famous. Do you know who I am familiar with, and what is his name?
