Enamel Paint Thinner

Enamel Paint ThinnerIs enamel paint / paint thinner plastic models or miniatures damage?

I painted most of the enamel, which I use for painting metal miniatures for war games. If I use the same paint on plastic models or miniatures, will it damage?

I have used both on the plastic models before. I would not use a lot of paint thinner on a plastic model. To remove paint, I used brake fluid before, and you can save it for later use. I immersed in computer models for a day or two, the painting brings immediately. I forgot once and leave for a week or two and he ate the model, in ruins. Good Luck hope this helped.

Paints ORIGINAL for plastic models are / were enamels .... Testors, Pactra and others in the 1950s and 1960s. What a strange question! Flag

Acrylic paints are * much * easier to use anyway:) You have to love the paint thins with water! Flag

in most cases, no, but it is always a good idea to try it on a piece of junk or a hidden place first

I have been painting miniatures and military plastic models since 1974 and have never had a problem with their enamel thinners corresponding brand.

I recently started using acrylic SOME (Tamiya) and those that work well also.

Good luck and always use proper ventilation!
