Dulux Paint

Dulux PaintWhat is the difference between Dulux trade paint applied paint that?

We just wanted to know if theres no significant difference between painting and normal trade Dulux paint for example.

Is it called the trade of painting because of the size of the pot is 15 liters or as a bit cheesy?

I ask that my daughter has a Cerec dark walls and wants cream paint again and we wondered if the painting trade is suficient.

Thank you

paint and paint trade mark can not be quality (ratio of pigment to water, etc.): This is not only known painting of trade due to the size of the pot.

I would not use white emulsion Wickes own brand again - I had to use three layers just to cover bare plaster walls (yes, the plaster was dry!) - In exasperation, went to buy Dulux and he does work in a single layer. I think it was actually cheaper in the end that the painting of the Wickes (and took third time).

However, his own brand Q & B has a fairly good reputation - there are a handful of reviews here: http://www.ciao.co.uk/B_Q_Emulsion_White ... then you can try.

Since you are trying to cover the walls deep cherry, I am tempted to go one emulsions that claim to be "in a single layer of jobs.

Good luck!

trade just paint normally comes in large boxes without fancy graphics on them as you normally would in the stores

which "believes that the quality is quite different x

Trade paint is often a lower quality - it is for those who want to do the job quickly and cheaply.

For your own home, I highly recommend luxury.

Another tip: You'll be much happier (and the work will be easier) if you prime your walls first dark.

I am a buyer for a property maintenance company. Most paints DIY is quality, even if the cheapest paint thinner and will take more coats to cover. If you have a commerce provider near your location (Dulux Centre) of the paint they sell are more expensive than a hardware store, but the quality is much better. If you think this may take a few coats to cover the cheap white emulsion and undercoat with that.
Good Luck

Trade paints are often more densely pigmented (covering power and a larger one, it's cheaper to buy all the best paint job to pay for that second layer). Dulux is very good anyway ...

There is not much difference nowadays. They used to carry a wider range of colors (under BS4800) that the servants, but has almost disappeared because you can have any mixture of colors on request. Formerly, that Yu would be necessary to hire a decorator to get the colourd trade was good for them (not very good for the customer).

Some colors (Magnolia and white) the size of trade are larger. I think there is a misunderstanding of the quality in most cases it is the same - if it was Duff they would not sell that much, after all, should be their regular customers. Wickes products are very good, I found, but they may continue to change providers if you have been ynlucky. Cheap paint the local hardware store is something else and you should stay well clear.

If it were me, I would use an undercoat of water depending on your ceiling btw, because it is quite a change, secure cap is compatible with the emulsion top coat.
