Can you use paint on a Dry Erase Board? Is the blackboard paint to stick to the dry-erase board or will remove it easily? The board, dry erase has a glossy finish on this is why I wondered if the paint would stick.
The surface must be de-glazed with sandpaper, then cleaned with a tack cloth. Then paint the slate should stick very well. 2 layers for you to get good coverage. Enjoy.
I recommend you give it a first sand and yes it'll stick
sand first, then it will
In general, the paint will not stick well to a shiny surface. You can put a primer on the first, but even that may not stick to a board, dry erase.
What is the board dry erase made from? Some of them are just plastic coated cardboard. I would not waste my time to paint this kind of thing. If masonite, sandpaper the plastic covering and put on the paint chaldboard. Put it in several thin layers. When I used it, it took several layers to make a chalkboard decent.
