How can I make the leap leap to become independent as an artist? I'm already an established folk artist, has a clientele of small and were recommended a few times in national magazines as one of their top 200 in the country. This is definitely my passion, but I'm afraid to leave my "day job" because of health benefits and the remaining debt and divorce. I'm not that much to my day job, and it covers just my bills. Moonlighting my company allowed me to folk art collecting and selling and a little money, but now it became a success, it seems there are not enough hours in the day, and it is difficult to tailor a job within three hours at time of night and two days at the weekend, not to speak for itself if it is difficult to charge for your work, then Now, I do what I want, but want to do it full time. I have no savings whatsoever, has anyone been here along with some rock solid? Honestly, one or other
Looks like you're between the hammer and the anvil. From your description, it seems that you are singing is the bread winner of the keys. To make a jump, you need more exposure. The only way you can do is find someone to be your agent and let you know. You might consider doing demos to play clubs and theaters foresight. Or make a home video with a good reproduction of sound that could be shown and heard.
I would like to take the risk!
Factor Score!
Maybe move your job to part-time statous if you have this back!
and let your artistic self unvail!
is a risk like any other business! but if you are sure you can do if it happened if it is 75% then I think you should at least try!
web opens many opertunities for you!
also replaced the front store!
It's a frightful risk, but sometimes you never know unless you leap!
I would expect that your game for at least three months to cover the bills just smart! it is not doo a nest empty, unless you have a partner to help you support!
The real question you must ask is "Faith". Have you the faith to realize your dreams? It seems that you wrote that your "faith" is not enough to make the leap that you want. In the meantime, a lot of advice here is really not going to work for you.
The best way to answer this question is "What is the worst thing that can happen if I quit my job and do not do as an artist? If this is really not so bad, then go for it!
