Cast Art Industries

I can not think of a handful of actors and singers from Asia to Hollywood, but they are nothing compared to the large portions of white and black and Latino show. Most Asian cast to play the stereotype. Let's think. Not everyone does martial arts in Asia. Most Asian Americans are fluent in English. Why are there so few Asian in the entertainment industry? Why not let the casting directors play the role of an Asian American, typical of what Lucy Liu was in Charlie's Angels?

The entertainment industry is more than just actors and singers - it includes the producers, staff, office workers, all crew, etc. I doubt that you felt when you wrote this question. I'm also assuming you mean the U.S. entertainment industry in particular.

Coming from the entertainment industry, I can assure you there are many Asians in the areas of white collar workers in this industry.

In addition, while Asians are under-represented in drama and song, they are probably not as much as you think, and if anything, are overrepresented on the news in terms of journalists. With Asians are a small percentage of the U.S. population, it is not reasonable to expect all players in the fourth to be Asia, while their total population (all races combined) probably less than 10%.

Im sure they will in the future, but it's because whites and blacks have been here for a good part of American and Canadian history. They were the majority of more that Asians were. It's a bit like asking, why is there so few white, and almost no blacks in the Asian media? because they are not the majority, even if there are many whites in Asia (Hong Kong in particular) in recent years.
