Behr Deck Paint

wondering if I could put a layer of Thompson bucket of water on it to waterproof and give a little sparkle. I am satisfied with the color, but no real "shine" in it.The Bers AITP bridge is water repellent, not waterproof, any help? thank you

You can use a clear gloss coat. Make sure it's the same basis as painting extisting. bond issues will occur if it is not. If the paint is latex, you can use a latex or oil based. If the paint is oil, you must use an oil based layer. Putting latex on oil will create a problem of sticking. Make sure the layer is transparent to the outside and it contains UV filters.

Yes you can put a sealer on the deck to give it some shine. But read the back of the box to ensure it does not cause excessive slippage on the deck.
