Basketball Art

I had never heard of him until I looked up a list of names of basketball players, past and present. His name was right with Ira Bowman, formerly of the Sixers, and Nate Bowman, former Bulls, Knicks, Braves, and Pittsburgh Condors. My last name is Bowman and I really want to know more about the elusive Bowman Art. I do not even know if he played in the NBA or ABA or any other league. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
