Need help with the identification of pottery art for the face, possibly Irish / Gaelic? I have two pieces of pottery art beautiful face, but little with the two marks and artist signatures. The signature is perfectly clear, written in clay on the bottom, but I can not decipher. Can only make the first 7 letters are ... "Deichiu. The remaining letters would be "aua" but I'm not sure. All to do with reading and writing. When I googled the first 7 letters you see above, I have had sites that were either Irish or gaelic, some spoke about the respective languages. I hope that I am at least on the right track.
The logo thing though. I read a letter "D" and is centered horizontally in the letter "Y". Under that is marked very clearly, is "NB 44" or "N3 44". These are heavy pieces of pottery, 6.5 "long, 3.5 cm wide and 3.5 inches tall. The glazed pottery that Brown is a green light, I would say.
If someone with experience in the collection of art pottery, Irish, gaedlique or anything that can help me identify what I have, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
