Mirror he would probably not work due to cutting and mirroring. But you can paint it silver - there are some real nice silver metallic paints there, and you may be a broken mirror mosaic on the top - as long as there are no sharp edges. Or maybe a mother or a top bead.

Paint It Black and put a glass top on it, make money or gold, or (at your option) hard cover that really stands out
