Art Deco Old dishes - fit for consumption off the? I gave my flat - very old, probably 60yrs or more - and I'm just curious if they would be safe to eat out? Do not know if old dishes led in them. They are clear glass - no color or paint. I really use, but I'm paranoid. You do not know if they would microwave - I probably would not try it.
they are safe to use, but do not put them in the microwave and dishwasher safe day, they do not have these devices and the dishes are not made for that, treat them with care if Tender Loving they lasted 60 years, I am sure than ever that had taken good care of them and probably only uses the very special occasion as you must, just buy yourself a set of dishes every day you can put in the microwave and dishwasher without any problem.
they are safe, but when they were made, microwaves were not invented. I always wash mine by hand. The only time you need to worry about eating them, if there is hand painted flowers, pictures, etc., that may come into contact with lead paint.
