Since the Art Deco era of the 1930s, Miami was an exotic place for vacation all year round Florida sunshine, golden beaches and a lifestyle to residents and visitors as well. This unique metropolis which is as the "Magic City" continues to be a massive tourist attraction, offering luxury holiday in the best settings.

As the hub of the United States at the door of the Americas, the city boasts a major port, which is the starting point for many cruise ships on the way to the nearby Caribbean. Close to the spectacular Everglades National Park, Miami is famous for its unique culture, mainly from its celebrated ethnic diversity. The city boasts certainly feel optimistic Latin, which is supported by the census of 2000 in which 60% of the population said they were Hispanic.

Miami was incorporated as a city in 1896 and has grown considerably since then, now consists of 13 main districts. Covering a wide area of southern Florida, while offering the double major attraction of the sun and beaches, Miami is also home to the impressive culture, entertainment and a dazzling array of shops.

Bayside Marketplace offers a shopping experience luxury on the edge of the port of Miami, off Biscayne Boulevard. There are over 150 shops and fabulous restaurants throughout the 16 acre open-air markets, ranging from fabulous little spot well known boutiques, upscale chains. In addition to shops and restaurants there are often exciting, free entertainment on offer, including Cuban Salsa music and beat.

Miami residents are generally very conscious of their style and art lovers. The Miami Art Museum reflects the makeup of the city, with a wide range of genres on the screen and hosts regular exhibitions of avant-garde that attract visitors by the tens of thousands. In addition, the museum gives the community in the form of large educational projects, including morning lectures on diversity and stunning architectural styles of the city.

Some of the hotels of Miami and the most spectacular are the most luxurious in South Beach and also along Collins Avenue, near the Atlantic, but not all hotels in Miami are limited to beaches. Indeed, they are distributed around the city, close to many major attractions including the Miami Art Museum, Design District and Spanish Cloister of the monastery and the city center.

Because the city is so spread out any potential visitor should ensure that they do their research and choose to stay close to their area of interest, unless they are willing to rent a car.
