old wives' tales are a major cause of most repair technicians as set out in leather and lacquer and solvents are the most common. Taking note of these untested / old wives' tales without proof could cost you a lot of money if it goes wrong.
Just repaired a very expensive jacket that had been virtually destroyed using lacquer to remove the ink. He did not remove the ink and left a much bigger problem to solve.
Please do not rub with anything that will almost certainly remove the finish on the leather and it will be costly to correct.
Order details below before attempting anything.
ink removal success will depend on the type of leather you have, please see the following topics:

To remove ink (applies to cars and leather furniture)
Removing Ink
Removing ink from leather is not a cleaning problem.
Most ink removal products will not work simply because of the length of the ink has been on the leather.
The ink is a dye and has re-color leather (that's what he is supposed to do)
The longer the ink has been on the leather the harder it is to eliminate because it soaks into the finish. Once it has soaked into the finish, you must use very strong products to remove it, which will also remove finish and pigment which then need to be replaced.
Pigment / Protected leather
If the ink on a pigmented leather then the first thing you should try is an LTT ink gel.

The freshness of the ink more likely you are to remove. It's a good idea to have in your home if you light leather and children!
old ink will be harder to remove than new ink and may mean the use of solvents which will also remove the finish line. This is probably best left to experts
If a gel ink does not work a solvent based cleaner should be used and it may also remove finish and pigment so is best left to experts.
You must also use LTT Leather Protect your suite. This will act as a coating "and will more mishaps easier to clean.
You will see many people recommending household products to remove ink - this is not recommended as most simply will not work, some seem to work, but the damage they cause can make a much bigger problem which is Then UN-repairable (even by a technician)
DO NOT use the following:
Hairspray - This is very risky because it may be the case much more serious by the spread of ink on a larger surface area and can sometimes be impossible to determine.
Solvent / solvent remove the finish on leather, even if you can not say that to do so and it will need replacing, and alcohol may do the same thing depending on the strength of the finish leather.
Baby wipes - just about the worst thing you can use on skin because they break the finish and eventually ruin.
Milk or Toothpaste - these are just stupid ideas that leave residues on the sticky surface that helps to break the finish on your leather.
Silicone furniture polish / - should not be used on leather. They will form a coating on the surface of the leather that will not allow moisture to get the leather itself and will eventually break all the finish down and make it crack.
Hide food will not remove ink a.
