Airline Paint SchemesAirline Regulation

The airline industry operates like the veins of the United States by pumping precious cargo across the country. Most young people do not realize how much the airlines have been a few decades ago. The whole industry is regulated by the government. Regulation is generally considered a more socialist liberal idea opposed by conservative capitalists. Although I personally believe in a government with limited small roll in our daily life, I have come to the conclusion that the airline industry is a rare exception that must return to regulations that benefit business and consumers several ways.

In the days of regulation, the government had total control over routes, fares, gates and virtually everything needed to run an airline. It has also created many barriers to entry that prevent any airline until further momentum. All the government would have to do is not allow them at any airport or not to approve an application route. Economists complain that the regulation was ineffective, in 1978, the Airline Deregulation Act was passed allowing the free market dictate prices and airline schedules.

The next thirty years have proven to be a terrible mistake. There is a wide range of facts when searching for change in the price of a ticket today compared to airlines under regulation. Some say that the tickets are 20% cheaper. Others argue that there is hardly a difference because we must take into account the travel agent fee of 10% which is avoided with online booking today. So there's no great benefit ticket prices because of deregulation. However, in the last tickets were fully refundable and you could change your destination without many penalties. Today people roam the Internet for a discounted ticket that usually means a few stops on the road that can not be in the general direction of their destination. Some passengers may fly in the alternative airports at a discount. Southwest airlines now flies to airports in most major airlines like to inheritance, however, in the early days of the Southwest, they broke into the newly deregulated industry, basing their operation on Field LUV Dallas (not Fort Worth International Airport Dallas) and flights to such places as Burbank, California. The reason is because it is much cheaper to operate from these airports to avoid paying high prices for gates and other airport charges. Southwest also lower than the pay scales in all. They were the carrier of low cost. By saving all that money they would be able to provide customers with cheaper tickets, free market began its control over the industry. That started the domino effect of airlines on the market.

With several major airlines are the most long-haul airlines many commuters have started business with 100 jets seat type. Most people will see U.S. Airways Express and I think it is a division of U.S. Airways, but the aircraft could be one of four or five airlines that fly within the U.S. system of painting Airways. The air is absolutely saturated with all these small jets. The system of air traffic control must be upgraded because of it. Instead of the 737 to make two or three flights a day on a short trip from Philly to Buffalo say they have these regional jets with 100 seats are 5 or 6 flights per day. With soaring fuel prices does not seem effective. consumer safety is also endangered. For the last year many small regional airlines have been hiring a large number of drivers due to a shortage. The minimum flight time were dropped lower than they have ever been. Some new employees are in the cockpit with as little as 300 hours. The average airline pilot has several thousands of hours.
