What is the best way to remove acrylic enamel skin? Hello ... paint my car, using a single step Dupont Nason paint acrylic enamel, 8 pieces of 1 part hardener to 2 parts reducer. I had some on my skin while still damp and its difficult to get. Lacquer thinner works best, but it really started to burn, and I'm still sticky! Help!
Narcotic
Try mineral turpentine (wet cloth and rub it with paint marks on cloth) to get paint off, then hot soapy water to get the turpentine off:)
Edit: Mineral turpentine is probably the same as mineral spirits (answer above).
Try mineral spirits! Available in all hardware stores, Wal-Mart and probably, too.
I stained a deck a while ago and used it to take the spot with my hands, it worked perfectly.
Good luck!
Try using a little baby oil on a cloth and wipe clean. It will not irritate your skin.
